2. SMAW – Pipe Stick Shielded Metal Arc Welding:
   This course trains students in pipe welding using SMAW, a widely used process for welding steel structures. Students will learn the basics of pipe welding in both plate and pipe positions.

3. GTAW – Tig Pipe Gas Tungsten Arc Welding:

While many welding programs are open to all students, Supreme Welding Academy does have some prerequisites that must be met before enrollment. These include:

• Age Requirement: Students must be at least 18 years old or 17 with parental consent.
• Education: Students are required to have a GED or high school diploma.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Students are expected to bring their own welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, grinder, and other personal protective equipment. Some of these items may be purchased at the school.

These prerequisites help ensure that students are prepared for the physical and technical demands of the welding programs, as well as the safety requirements of working in industrial environments.

Supreme Welding Academy understands that tuition costs can be a barrier for many students, which is why they are working to expand their financial aid offerings. Currently, SWA offers a school loan program in partnership with Meritize. Additionally, they are in the process of finalizing financial aid options with the Texas Workforce Commission, and they expect to offer state and federal grants soon. This makes the program more accessible to students who need financial assistance to begin their welding education.
